Maria Karpathakis

is a Stockholm-based actor and screenwriter working across film, television, and theatre.

Raised between Swedish and Greek culture, her work is marked by strong presence, emotional intensity, and warmth — qualities that define both her performances and her storytelling.

In recent years, Maria has appeared in productions including The Pirate Bay, Limbo, Beck, The Unlikely Murderer, Agent Hamilton and Ture Sventon och Bermudatriangelns hemlighet.

Alongside her acting career, she develops original projects as a writer and creator, including a drama series and a feature film in collaboration with production companies and a distributor. She also co-founded Alegren Productions, where the short film Bror premiered at the Göteborg Film Festival.

With a strong background in theatre, Maria has written, produced, and directed several independent stage productions throughout her career. She also works within applied theatre, collaborating with organizations in healthcare, leadership development, and the Swedish military.

In addition to her on-screen work, Maria is an experienced voice artist working fluently in Swedish, English, and Greek.

Maria is currently involved in several upcoming film and television productions.
